Adina Bar-On, Israel

Adina works with her voice, therefore the audience that gathered to see her performance expected to hear something. All they heard was silence. Adina presented a superb, meditative, inner performance. She was focused, with her eyes closed all the time (Vision in the title was rather spiritual than external). Primarily, the sole visual signal send by the artist were her black tainted fingers. Then a child’s shirt appeared in view. Adina repainted her fingers red by putting her hands in a paint- filled basin. Hence she sprang some paint on the shirt. But did the performance need such a “story”?

Adina pracuje z głosem,a więc publiczność spodziewała się coś usłyszeć. Usłyszała ciszę. Był to piękny performance medytacyjny, czysto wewnętrzny. Adina pokazała się nam skupiona, cały czas miała zamknięte oczy (tytuł- Widzenie - było widzeniem wewnętrznym, spirytualnym. Jednak ta wewnętrzność była komunikowana na zewnątrz (w podobnego typu publicznych medytacjach Zygmunta Piotrowskiego nie ma żadnych podpórek dla widza). Początkowo jedynym sygnałem wizualnym były zabarwione na czarno opuszki palców. Potem pojawiła się dziecięca koszulka, następnie Adina zanurzyła palce w misce i zabarwiła je na czerwono. Na czerwono poplamiła też koszulkę. Ale czy performance taka story jest potrzebna - pytajnik.
